Melissa got bit by the diving bug back in 2010 and never looked back. She rarely talks about it, but it’s worth celebrating that she became India’s first SSI female instructor in 2011! Always the all-rounder (house captain, sports captain, head girl—aye aye!) she’s been bossing it since her school days, so it’s no surprise she has trained and certified over hundreds of divers with serious skill and zero fuss. Her underwater control is as smooth as her cheekiness on land. IYKYK!

Over her 15-year stint in the Andamans, she’s led several international dive trips to Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and more - though Sri Lanka and the Philippines remain her all-time favorite dive destinations.

Melissa’s worn many hats—from instructor to manager of some of the biggest and busiest dive schools in the Andamans and still finds ways to juggle ten things at once without breaking a sweat. She’s as much a workhorse as she is a workaholic, but that’s only because she’s deeply obsessed with getting things right. 

At Scubahead, she’s the mastermind behind every dive trip—planning, organizing, and pulling it all off without missing a beat.
